Sergey A. Kogoghin, Director General of "KAMAZ, Inc."

Biography

Sergey A. Kogoghin was born in November 16,1957 in Bolshiye Klytchi village of Zelenodolski region in the Republic of Tatarstan (RT).

In 1973 he finished secondary school and became a student of Kazan Aircraft Technical School.

In 1976, after graduating from the technical school, he worked as a milling machine operator at Kazan Motor Building Plant.

In 1977 he became a student of Department of Physics of Kazan State University. He studied, worked, and went in fo sports. He was ranked as "Master of Sports" of unarmed self-defence and judo disciplines.

In 1982 he graduated from the University. Within 1982 - 85 he started to work as an engineer at "Era" enterprise in the city of Zelenodolsk.

Within 1985 - 90 he first was appointed as Chief Engineer, then the Head of the Office, Deputy Chief Mechanic, and then he became Trade Unions Leader of Machine Building Plant in Zelonodolsk.

Within 1990 - 94 he was appointed as Director of Machine Building Plant in Zelenodolsk.

In 1994 - 99 he becomes the Head of Administration both of the city of Zelenodolsk and Zelenodolsk region.

From May 1999 till April 2002 he is a Deputy Prime Minister of Economics and Industry of Republic of Tatarstan.

From April 2002 he is Director General of KAMAZ Inc.

From March 2004, Deputy of State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Sergey A. Kogoghin is married and has two children.
